When Rooted Spices contacted me last year to help them with their packaging design, I found it hard to resist. Their intention was to encourage a bit of order to everyone’s spice cupboards, plus reinforce the message that spices come from plants. It’s obvious I know, but when stacked next to tinned foods in the supermarket, it often gets forgotten.
I absolutely adore the brand design with its amazing strong duo-tone. My contribution is noticeably the blue cyanotype photogram image that sits on the top of the lid. Great opportunities such as this don’t come along very often, so I was delighted to be asked to work with Rooted Spices on their brand new venture.
