Earlier this year, I was invited to exhibit and run workshops in Sweden. The opportunity was a collaboration with Chrysalis Arts and Katarina Karlsson from Konsthantverkscentrum, KHVC, The Crafts Centre.
The exhibition was at Naas Konsthantverk and included three Yorkshire-based artists (Serena Partridge, Barbara Green and myself) along with several Swedish artists showing contemporary textiles and jewellery.
My highlight was running cyanotype workshops in two wonderful locations at Steneby and the estate of Naas Castle near Gothenberg. It was great to show ‘Something About Mary’ that was on loan from St Martin’s Church, Scarborough, and the old School of Arts and Crafts in Naas was a perfect venue to teach the nineteenth century process of cyanotype.
